  Returned to this place after 20 years when I used to meet my Grandad all those years ago. What a pleasure to come to a warm, friendly bar and restaurant that retains its roots. All young staff and management but so friendly. Great food , good wine, good ales. There is a slightly higher price but you get what you pay for. I can only highly recommend.

  Thank you for making my son and daughter-in-laws wedding reception so special. The room was perfect and the food delicious (best belly pork I've ever had). Everyone was so attentive and helpful. Special thanks to Ben who did an amazing job of looking after everyone all day.

  Ok hotel. Stayed in the executive suite, towels and linen were clean but there isn't really anything 'executive' about it. Marks on the walls, tiles missing in the bathroom and an uninviting, damaged looking bath. The saving grace of this hotel is it's location.
  
  Breakfast was very slow alright. Waited 30 minutes for the drinks to come. Food was alright but nothing special considering the wait.
  
  Wouldn't say that the stay was unpleasant, but won't return.
